Our Story
Give Back Chile emerged from years of working across sustainability, conservation and tourism in both Chile and Australia.
Through this experience, a clear gap became visible: while there is growing awareness around sustainability in Chile, there are still limited opportunities for people to engage with it in practical, hands-on ways.
Living in Australia made this contrast even more evident. Many initiatives are community-led, practical, and focused on doing—offering real examples of how sustainability can be applied in everyday life.
Give Back Chile was created to connect these experiences with Chile, designing programs that allow participants to learn by doing, and return home with ideas they can apply in their own communities.
Why We Exist
We exist because theory without practice is not enough.
We see a real opportunity to accelerate learning and action in Chile by creating access to practical, hands-on sustainability experiences.
In Australia, there are constant opportunities to learn by doing—through short courses, community projects, and everyday initiatives that bring sustainability to life. We saw a clear opportunity: why not make this accessible to Chileans in a more direct, immersive, and time-efficient way?
Give Back Chile was created to connect Chileans with these experiences—so they can learn directly, in short and immersive periods of time, and return home with the skills, ideas, and confidence to take action in their own communities.
