Our Community
We’re a purpose-driven team based in Chile and Australia, passionate about local sustainable development, community resilience and meaningful cross-cultural learning.
With experience studying, working and building relationships in both countries, we collaborate with people and organisations who share our belief that a stronger bridge between Chile and Australia can accelerate sustainable development, practical learning and positive community impact in Chile.
Our Team
Francisca "Tisca" Amar
Founder & Managing Director - Australia
After building her career in Chile and later making Australia home, Tisca saw an opportunity to connect both countries through practical, experience-based learning. Give Back Chile was created to bridge that gap, designing immersive programs that turn sustainability ideas into action and empower people to bring practical skills, fresh perspectives and meaningful connections back to their communities.
Today, Tisca leads the organisation's vision, partnerships and program development.
Stephanie "Steph" Carmody
Programs & Experience Lead – Chile
Based in Chile, Steph leads the planning and delivery of Give Back Chile's programs.
Having studied in both Chile and Australia, Steph brings a unique cross-cultural perspective to her work. With a background in environmental education and community-based tourism, she works closely with schools, universities, partners and participants to create meaningful learning experiences. Passionate about experiential learning Steph helps build lasting connections between Chile and Australia.

Our Community Network
Our greatest asset is our community. We've spent years building trusted relationships with the people and organisations driving sustainable development across Chile and Australia. They open their doors, share their stories and invite our travellers to experience their work from the inside. It's what makes every Give Back Chile journey genuine, practical and deeply connected to place.
